Well since no one has started this yet let me be the one to do it. Just have to decal 4 planes so should have photos tomorrow.

Although the Pacific is not my cup of tea, Bob, these little guys look wonderful!

    Keep up the lovely work.

Nice Bob. Maybe we can do a joint scenario at Fall In and get these in a battle?

Matt from you I take that as very great compliment.

Peter I did those to go against the B-24's I did. Bought the OSPRY book Ki43 VS B-24. From the book it was Oscars Vs P-40's at first but later there were P-51's. Just have to get a card for them and you come up with the game.

    They look brilliant, Bob!

On my bench - a load of 15mm Early Hoplite Greeks for DBA, 2x Fokker EIII (Red Eagle) & 1x Sopwith Snipe (also Red Eagle) awaiting markings, and 1x Nieuport 17 (Red Eagle again!) at the start of building...
Plus various other bits, bobs, figures and paint stains......

Decided that in May I would finish some projects that I started months (years?) ago but haven't finished. First up is a Short G Class flying boat then Blenheims, both fighter and bomber variants.

Here is view of the other Oscars. Forgot to mention that the decals are from MISCMINI except for the Oscar with the white around the red ball. They were from a set for the KATE that I bought after I did them decals for them. I wanted the tail markings that come with his set so that gave me extra Japanese markings and they worked well.

I have taken an old academy p-51 and I'm trying to mimick captured aircraft that were used by the Japanese in WW2.

John I know your work so can't wait to see what you have done.

Don't cut yourself short Bob. They will look great in formation on the table in November. Can't wait. I have that same Osprey so I'll see what I can come up with for Oscars vs B-24s.

John! You have quite a lot on your plate. I'd need more than May to complete that list.

15mm T70s finished on Saturday morning

And tested in an under 10 ton battle Saturday afternoon

They crushed the French, knocking out 5 tanks without taking any damage as every hit on them just bounced off.

The workbench is nice and clear now. Maybe it's now time to build the rc fokker D.VII kit I have sitting on a shelf.

Four DH4s on my workbench being repainted as RNAS/RAF 200+ squadrons bombers for an Origins scenario, along with a mixed bag of German naval aviation scouts to try and shoot them down...

Everything you all are posting looks lovely - will try and post some pics towards the end of the month. The school year ending and my pending retirement are keeping me busier than I want to be right now...

    All the best,

They are from the Plastic Soldier Company. So simple to build and go together well. I glue some metal in the hull to add a bit of weight. It just makes them feel better when moving them around a table.

Currently have some Roden kits on my board - Sdkfz 234/4, a couple of Opel Maultiers & a Sdkfz 10 Demag half track by Caeser. The Roden kits are fiddly and the Maultiers are a bit weak but the Demag was a surprisingly good kit. Just got to find the energy & time to paint them all now.
Meantime I have a DH4 to sort out. I will post pics as and when I complete.

Just placed an order with Dave (AIM) which should be in the mail tomorrow. 2 B-29's, 2 more G50's and 2 Ki 21's. They will be on the June workbench.

Checked his site and don't see any Beauforts listed. I do see Blenheims.

You can order them by email from Dave at aim_schmid@yahoo.com, just ask for 1/200 Bristol Beaufort item code R9-0323.

I just finished up a minicraft 1/144 scale P-51. I did it in RAAF markings and I weathered the heck out of it, using chalk pastels and oils washes to grime it up and make it look used and battered.

Next 2 Br 20's that was in the same order. Looked at a number of camo schemes and liked this idea. Different base colors, one was green and the other brown, but I liked the way they turned out. Might have to use this scheme on the Sally's I just received.

Don't know why but building Italian and Japanese forces. I guess that it is something different from the OFFICIAL planes that are offered and gives you different areas other than Europe. I was checking and there are Japanese planes that could be used by the Thai AF in the Thai/French war. Guess that would mean getting some French planes.

For a different air force there is a nice book, 'Vichy Air Force at War'. I did a review a while back. Sadly there is only a few pages on indochina but the rest is quite interesting and informative. Click on the title and it will take you to the review.
