Thread: 1/720" scale Zeppelin Attackers!?!

  1. #1

    Default 1/720" scale Zeppelin Attackers!?!

So the Nano-elves had this idea, the new Zeppelins would need some interceptor aircraft, but what? There are none? Hmm . . . the math elves discovered the BE2e would be a whopping .61" wingspan and the FE2's would be .8" wingspan . . . tiny! So . . .

And the detail elves drew some preliminary assembly concepts . . .

    And they were off!!!

Tiny bits!!!! A carved toothpick mandrel was employed . . .

    Success!!!!

Then a repeat on the FE2

Lousy new phone software, should not have upgraded!

Thinking this may be possible to work with the 1/720" scale Zeppelins . . .

The elves just added 1 1/2 Strutter, Gotha G.IV, Fokker DRI, Staakens, Camel, Felixstowe, now if my fingers and eyes hold up . . .

Good Grief, is there no end to the talent, innovation and productivity of the elves?

    Once again, fantastic stuff!
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!

Caught the elves in the middle of more nano-madness, nano giants! and nano pursuits!

What will I do with these? They are soooooo cute!

Not quite sure about this, could likely just use standard cards? The minis are merely place keepers after all, right?

Can you do us a photo of the Zep and the aircraft together.
And as an aside just what 'other oursuits' do the Elves get up to?

    You really must have elves.

I can barely see them, never mind assemble such small pieces.

My spies tell me that some Zeppelin hunters in 1/720 may be available in FUD in the foreseeable future...

I will be doing some field work down under in August, Brisbane for a lay over then on to Auckland for a month . . . will be doing some logistics to see as many people and planes as possible! Carry on! I have the new Mark 1 Zeppelin models on their way for us as well . . .

Yeah. Being that the ground scale for Wings of Glory WWI is about 1/900, there is no need to do any adjusting for maneuver decks, nor range rulers. Just shoot for the models, and measure peg to peg.

Just opened the mail box and discovered this floating above the other mail . . .

Looks to be another great addition to the Mark 1 Models Zeppelin Squadron! Yea!

And if 144 scale was small, I am going blind looking at this smaller stuff.
