    Default I./JG 27 test

Here's an unfinished Bf-109G (1/200, Armaments in Miniature) with some of the test decals applied. Comments are welcome.

I expect to eventually have six sheets of decals for I./JG 27. Each sheet will have decals for four to six aircraft and there will be options for the size of the 'Afrika' emblem as well as options to have outlined aircraft ID numbers or not. Should be able to address E and F model -109s as well as early and mid-war national markings.

    More pictures to follow.

Default More testing of JG 27 sheets

More pictures of test runs for I./JG 27.

I don't have a Bf-109F so I'm using a -109G in it's place. The fuselage of the -G appears to be smaller, top to bottom, than that of the -E model that I have. Both are 1/200 AIM models. The fuselage cross looks slightly large on the -G model so I may end up reducing it a bit.

In addition to pictures of the decals applied to the models there are pictures of the actual decal sheets that I made in the test runs. The production decal sheets will be very similar in organization and content. I noticed that some kill markings on two of the sheets got clicked and dragged from their intended location. The differences between the sheets are outlines on the fuselage and under wing crosses and the color & outline of the numbers.

Please let me know if you've comments. Kevin

Anyone else think the crosses for the 109F/G/K fuselage should be a bit smaller?

The ones pictured on both the AIM -109E and -109G are 0.18" or roughly 4.5mm top-to-bottom and side-to-side. Kevin

    These look absolutely brilliant Kevin.
The 1st Gruppe nose art in particular has come out really well.
I believe the outlined balkenkreuze in sheet pictures 2 and 4, aircraft picture 3 would be correct for 1941/2 but I'm still learning about the finer points of German markings.
