Default First of 4 landing gear boxes avaiable for new seriies WWII minatures

    Hot off the upload,

If interested, these are SBD Dauntless gear boxes available for download from the WWII files section:

If you have questions regarding assembly , please let me know; but, in the meantime, look at the included pictures for an idea of the final assembly.

Thanks for checking out the gear, I will be pursuing the Yokosuka gear next,
    Chris

    Great idea!
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!

Thank you for the rep sirs...

I updated the post to reflect prior gear boxes I have done; and, at this point, all WWII aircraft have gear boxes except the Yokosuka, 109K, and P-47 which are still pending.

I believe with the new BOB release, the Wings of War Spits and 109 boxes should fit.

Picture those Spits on the grassy field with pilots poised to leap to the air in a moments notice.

I ran such a scenario (2013) and it was so fun trying to taxi to the strip and get into the air while being strafed by airborne 109s.

The landing boxes are a great idea.

Unfortunately, Attachment 220873 is not working for me.

    I see it now.

Would not like to be trying to get off the ground while being strafed by Messerschmitts.

Didn't the radar give them early warning ?

At the time we were using the Battle of Britain movie as a template.

This was the opening scene when the Brit aircraft were parked in France and had very little warning Before 109s buzzed them.

During this game 1 Spit MkI never got into the air; but, a badly damaged Spit MkII escorted by 2 Hurricanes limped for the channel.
I left a 3rd Hurricane behind to run cover on the 3 109Es during the retreat.

Luckily my brother saw blood on the single Hurricane and took the bait.

He would have shot me down but I had the Spit MkII break retreat and fly straight for the 109s.

My brother had taken some licks himself and as a result broke off the attack.

He won the scene/battle (destroyed 1 aircraft on the ground and badly damaged the others), but he knew I would likely get an accommodation for keeping him off the other retreating aircraft (or at least distracting him from the retreating aircraft that is).

That game played well into the 3AM mark... Luckily he got tired before my caffeinated pilot did...
