Here are some samples of one of today's test runs. Later I'll apply a second set of samples and compare them to these. With this printer the white toner goes down first and then the colors go down. For this run, the white toner was "choked" or slightly contracted to prevent it appearing on the outside of the graphic. That reduces the chance that the decals will have a white edge to one side or appear out of register. The down side to that is that for very small graphics, such as the SCW phrase, the area is so small that no white goes down under the color toner. The second test run is not choked. It's not pictured either.
What I'm showing here:
First picture - Popeye, die, Micky, a penguin, and a phrase for SCW I-15s and I-16s. The Hell's Angels for the 3rd Pursuit Squadron of the AVG, insignia for III/JG 2, and Pik As for Jg 53. Oh, and a graphic for JG 27.
Second picture - A SCW Cr.32 with the white X and three black stripes. The model has a hump along the ailerons. I'll either remove those humps or cut some areas away from the decal carrier before I apply the production decals.
