    Default Five Balloons in one day!

    Friedrich von Röth the Commanding Officer of Jasta 16b had a total of 18 victories including 16 balloons. He previously flew for Jasta 23b in a Pfalz D.III and Jasta 16b had a mixture of Pfalz D.IIIa's and Albatros D.Va's at that time but, he was flying an Albatros D.Va when he scored 5 balloons in one day.

    Yeah, you need a few G&T to get started and a few more to anchor you back after . . . Time travel back to 2012 . . . (cue the twilight zone music) . . . and click on this: http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sho...zenge+balloons

    There may have been a thread on the project as well, but my RAM access is not as good as it used to be . . .

    Yep, it seemed a good idea at the time . . . but balloons are very fun to play, we did several games with a line of 4-6 balloons on four mats, it was a blast! Got the elves in on it too! Some of the players, some foam, some Shapeways:

    Could it be a trap?

    David, did your elves count the total number of their works? It looks that you could beat (with the number) evan Karl (I see, impossible, but...).

    Baaaaaackkk to balloon busting;
    5 in a day is certainly an impressive feat; and easy to confirm, with lots of witnesses to see the show.
    Possibly a 1 day record. Frank Luke got 3 on his last day; in fact in his 18 day streak, he claimed 18 balloons and aircraft getting balloons in 2s and 3s.
    Willy Coppens had most of as singles, but had a few double and triples.
    Any other balloon-busting aces doing a hat trick (or better) ?

    If Ares produce a balloon set containing a German plane, then Friedrich von Röth's plane would be a good choice.Click image for larger version.

    David,

    Yes, it would be a great choice! I'm thinking of all the repaint possibilities!
