    Default Squadron 60 - Billy Bishop SE-5

    This is my first experience with painting a Shapeways Print. Next time I will add another coat before decals, but all in all the experience was positive. This is the first but won't be the last. A Pfalz D.III is next.Click image for larger version.

    Thank you all for the kind comments and REPs. I am finishing up a Pfalz D.III so look for that one, and I my brother Bob (BB401) have Be2s coming for conversion to a Night FightersClick image for larger version.

    Great picture, too bad the artist could not get the altitude correct, bombing altitudes of 20,000 feet for the "bloody Zeps", it was not so easy to approach them. The Be2's used all their wing area and power to just get up there . . . I have a pair of them with "strange" mounts to fire upward to close the altitude difference . . . still awesome to see the huge beasts in action . . . thanks for posting it!

    Clipper: could you link us to a picture of the aforementioned strange mount be2'so? I feel a conversion coming on.....

    Very nicely done I wish these old hands didn't shake so much I would love to try to do work like that.
