I always remember that model sea battle in the original "Beau Guest" movie with Errol Flynn when he got hit in the leg by a "cannon ball"

That's pretty neat, I saw a WW2 variant of that years ago with U-Boats, depth charging destroyers and sinking warships. Makes for a pretty good show, especially at the end when the sunk warships re-surface !

You ought to post these over on the Anchorage also.

If any of you visit Scarborough in the United Kingdom, there is a mock naval battle in Peasholme Park every week in the Summer. It was originally a re-enactment of the Battle of the River Plate but it has been 'developed' since into a fictitious conflict. Some of the ships are radio controlled. Others have people inside to control them.
