This begins by looking at the state of bomber aircraft in 1939 and then goes on to look at how all the various features of bombers developed as the war progressed.
Section 2: Six of the Best
The author provides excerpts from flight tests of six of the most important bomber types, which saw service: The Heinkel 111H, The Junkers 88A-6, The De Havilland Mosquito IV, The Avro Lancaster I, The consolidated Liberator II and The North American B-25C (Mitchell II). Included in this section in addition to details about performance are tips on how to attack these aircraft and how the aircraft can defend themselves against fighters.
Section 3: The Tactics of Destruction
This looks at various tactics employed during bomber raids including different formations of aircraft and different methods of bombing.
Section 4: Summary.
The book consists of 150 pages and contins many black and white photographs and diagrams.
I found this an interesting book to read.
