    Default Bomb Load Values

    Hi,
I wanted to get some in-site on bomb loads.
Is there a rule of thumb for number and strength of bomb loads for planes or objective targets for a scenario?
I know the one scenario calls that each load is 6pts. I believe a Target card can receive 6 point Maximum or am I missing something on that?

    Thanks Carl,
This does help. I am putting together a pts per load and # of Loads breakdown chart I can use for a campaign game. I can just list what class load they have for each battle depending on the planes choose.
    Example:

    Class A = 2 Loads @ 6pts per Load or Full Load=12pts, Half=6pts
    Class B = 4 Loads @ 4pts per Load or Full Load=16pts, Half=8pts, Quarter=4pts
    etc...

Do you have to drop either a full load or Half load? Can you breakdown the pts for more then just 1 or 2 Bombing drops? I see for the Staaken it says something to that effect.

Carl beat me to it Michael - I worked out the points from the actual total payloads and fudged it where I thought necessary, which wasn't too often as it happens. I went with the full and half load drop as - that is what was done in game already, and - because you don't often live long enough to get a third drop done ! I suggested more splits could be done with the bigger machines as their payload is so big but what you have to bear in mind is the mix of bombs size wise which may preclude over doing this.
If you go to post #8 of this OTT thread there is more info of where/how this came about and this is the original thread that started me looking at it.
Not forgetting that a near miss is half points - round up or down to taste.
