Default WGF EF03 - First and Last over Rozhishche (WGF historical scenario for 2 players)

Rozhishche, 2 August 1916: That morning Leutnant der Reserve Erwin Böhme with his observer Leutnant Lademacher of Kasta 10 took off in Albatros C.III 766/16 from their airfield at Kovel, flying south-east to conduct a reconnaissance along the Styr River. At the same time Latvian born ace Podporuchik Eduard Martynovich Pulpe (5 victories) of the 10th KAO, Imperial Russian Air Service was patrolling the front in his French built Nieuport 11. Both experienced pilots, Böhme and Pulpe met over the Ukrainian town of Rozhishche.

This WGF historical scenario for 2 players set on the Eastern Front requires one Series 9 Nieuport 11 (Chaput) and one Series 9 Albatros C.III (Böhme & Lademacher).

Another one for the pile - thanks Carl - I will try this out at some point.
Funny how things go, that Böhme's appointment from Pulpes demise led to Boelcke falling.

Yes indeed. Researching this one I was struck with similarities between Bohme and Pulpe as well. They were both in their mid-late 30's, much older than most pilots and they had both cut their teeth in aerial combat on the Western Front (where Pulpe scored four of his victories flying with the Aviation Militaire Francais). They were both considered brave and modest men by their comrades. One would like to think they would have got on well had the circumstances been different.

Thanks John, I will continue to focus on the secondary WW1 fronts for now.
