There was a saying in the 17th century.
Hell, Hull, and Halifax.
I wonder if the beer lives up to the saying?
With apologies to anyone who lives in Hell.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Oh, yes!
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
My, that is a fine stein Chris.

These two websites explain about Hull, Hell and Halifax.

As for Yorkshire Relish, Halifax is in Yorkshire and I suppose that you could say relish has a biting flavour.

Thank you, Barry. It was showing when I posted it but I think that I have fixed it so that it can be seen.
Woolworths went out of business several years ago here in the United Kingdom.
The Waterbird, created by Edward Wakefield was one of the first seaplanes to take off from water. It took off from Lake Windermere in the British Lake District in November 1911. It was only through support from Winston Churchill that Edward Wakefield was able to complete his project. Fans are working on recreating the Waterbird and are planning to make tourist flights with it. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-minister.html
Thank you for the news about the Black Widow, which is being restored, and the great photographs, Bob.
Still on the night fighter theme, here is a beer commemorating the British night fighter ace John "Cat's Eyes" Cunningham. He was called "Cat's Eyes" because the British Press claimed that he had exceptional night vision, to conceal the fact that he had an airborne radar set mounted in his plane. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_C..._(RAF_officer)
I have to get some new pictures of the P-61 at next years show and see how the restoration is going.
Can't say I remember much about it, David, so it can't have been too bad.
Although me Mum and older brother were glad of "the paper bag" ...
Likin' the picture on that last one!

Douglas (Wrong Way) Corrigan was an American Aviator of Irish decent. His dream was to fly to Ireland. That dream was denied when his transatlantic flight was turned down. He then registered a flight plan from New York to California which was approved. Shortly after take off he made a wrong turn and flew all the way to, you guessed it, Ireland. He claimed his mistake was due to poor weather conditions. You be the judge. So this beer is in honour of a hapless pilot or a very cunning aviator who lived his dream.
I'll drink to that Dave.

Good one!
Knowing the Irish (of which I have a 58% of in my bloodline) I reckon he knew exactly where he was going!
Those are good looking tee-shirts, Bob. I hope that your niece can afford to buy them for you.
Here is another drink honouring an American aviator of Irish descent. This beer was named after Michael Dugan who was an American of Irish decent that joined the war before America did. He went and joined France and learned to fly with the Lafayette Escadrille Squadron. A Squadron made up of all Americans that fought for Freedom very early in WW1.
