Some of these drinks were only produced for a short time, Karl, and since they come from all over the world I have no way of knowing which are still available.

Rocket seems to be a popular theme for drinks. Here are some more.

Sorry, Barry, I have not been able to find a Yellow Bomber drink and we had Blonde Bombshell a long time ago, but here is Brown Bomber, although that may not necessarily be linked to aircraft.

When I saw this drink, my initial reaction was Eughk!; because of the name (not the quality of the product). However, I then discovered that the slurry involved consists of fire-retardant chemicals, not liquid mud or waste animal products.

I asked our Kiwi agency staff at the hospital about Stoke Bomber ale, and one of them said her friend's father runs the brewery!

Alas, she doesn't have access to any in the U.K. for me to sample.

Following the release of the Battle of Britain planes, here is an another ale paying tribute to the Hurricane. The 39 refers to 1939. It is supposed to taste like beer possibly brewed in 1939 because it uses a similar mixture of malts. The Squadron letters do not refer to an actual Battle of Britain squadron. They are an abbreviation of the word MILD.

Only because British bombers didn't have ventral ball turrets.... :)

Early Lancaster Mk 1's had a ventral barbette but they were removed because they traversed too slowly and it was difficult aiming the guns by periscope. The space was used for the H2S radar.

All that, I knew. I was noting that, since British bombers lacked a ball-turret, the title of "most dangerous position" would move Somewhere Else.

We had a microbrew company in the Akron area called Blimp City brewing. Made some good beers, but they were ahead of their time, and closed in 2003.
Now we have microbrew and nanobrew shops opening almost monthly.
