Dang, that one sounds tasty. Sadly, they only ship within Ontario

AS with so many beers I'm seeing, I'd love to try it before they add all the weird stuff into it.

I think you have put your bear in the wrong thread, Terry.
Quite possibly Sir! So I make amends with a local brew, from the purest of our local waters - Bayland's Hopswitch Engage
A hoppy little number, a good warmer for an early winter's evening flight.
The water is quite something, its so pure it's used as town supply. Engage rounds it off quite nicely.
Cheers!
That is a good one, Terry!
While out shopping for bear and pie July, we came across this stout fellow
and it was full of flavour
Wigram was an RNZAF base near Christchurch (NZ), now home to Wigram Brewing.
I'm sure some may disagree with the order of the chap's ribbons [probably based on Al Deere], but it was just the ticket with a winter's pie.
Terry
That sounds tasty.
What is "beer and pie July", pray tell?

Beer and Pie July! A good question Karl, a local [pirate] radio station started a bit of a tradition around these parts -
https://www.hauraki.co.nz/video/haur...beer-pie-july/
and this year's matchings so far:
https://www.hauraki.co.nz/gigs-event...-july-is-here/
Needless to say, July is (supposed to be) winter in this part of the southern hemisphere, so cold beer and hot pie's a great combination!
Cheers to all!
That is a good one, Terry. Enjoy your 'beer and pie'.
A tasty tradition; I'll have to remember that come anti-July (January) up here.
BTW: I'd love if I could have this year's day 5 offering

Well let's start the Hop to Hyperdrive first, now that it seems my liver's taking orders ...
Quite refreshing, passionfruit notes [tropical], cloudy but yet ready to go.
Just the ticket to round off a good day of flying. When you're here we'll have to drop into Baylands and see what else they have in their hangers.
Our cousins over the ditch will enjoy the Defender, it's an Aussie pale ale; but I have my eyes on this one for a match to SWMBO's famous Friday night fryup.
Cheers!
I must say, I'm quite enjoying this thread thank you Flight Leader!
Bayland's Defender of the Galaxy is a nice hoppy brew, good rise in the glass, and full of fruit flavours.
Like it says on the tin, it's got some secrets in it with a good aftertaste that is quite light on the palate. Recommended, thank you David!

Cheers!
As I've said before, I can't drink any of this stuff. But if I did, I'd be trying this:
This honours Raymond Collishaw, a RNAS pilot from Nanaimo, BC (an hour south of me). The label is my hash of the Ace Brewery's tap product. They don't yet put it in cans, but they do sell it in large bottles.
From their website:

I haven't seen it, and we usually get most of the GI stuff.

Must be holding this one at home; I haven't seen it come up to Akron.
