The term 'Sky Pilot' was sometimes used to describe the chaplain but clearly not in the case of the beer above.

The Brewmaster wrote this," Odo Pilot Pils is in honor of St. Marys’ native Odo Valentine, who in 1939 flew his biplane perpendicular through a 64-foot-wide center section of the Kinzua Bridge which at the time was the highest and longest viaduct in the world, measuring 301 feet high and 2,053 feet long . Odo never told a soul. Fearful he’d lose his pilot’s license, he kept the secret — and an evidentiary picture — to himself for nearly 70 years. It is in the Fiercely Independent™ spirit of Odo’s feat that we name our classic pilsner. Cheers to you Odo!"

Normally I'm a lager or pilsner sort of guy - but lately I've been enjoying IPAs, and they have been helping my creaky joints a bit, too! This is one of my favorite go-tos at the present time, and it fits nicely with the otherworldly incursions of the current Kickstarter campaign...

David do they list the Grape variety on a back label?

Barry, the tasting notes on their website say," 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot. Aged for two years in our finest new French oak barrels, this well-structured, elegant, Bordeaux style blend unfolds rich layers of dark cherry, spice, and cocoa." Does that help?

I am sure they would but US$ to $A conversion plus freight would make it out of reach for me.

You might check to see if they have an importer. The USA imports a great variety of AU wines, so the reverse might be true.

Feel free to ask their wine steward; they might be able to order it for you, even if they don't have it on the shelf. (says the man with 36 years in the grocery industry ).
