There have been a few Jetpack beers in this thread before but I do not think there has been this one. From the Keg & Lantern Brewing Company of Brooklyn, New York, USA comes Jet Pack Double IPA.

I am not familiar with French beers. I have looked for aircraft related French beers in the past without much success. Thank you for these. I am surprised that they display a Spitfire and not a French aeroplane.

HI David, I would like to tell you that, we lost this tradition of good beer after the war with the closure of the big "Brasseries" in the east of France Alsace and Loraine, next to Germany and Belgium with a strong tradition of hops.

Wine is the No. 1 alcohol here and we tend to import the excellent beers from Benelux, Germany, UK, Czechoslovakia etc. but recently, a few young and new small breweries are trying to reinvent French beers and are doing quite well, like these :

And I think that the Spitfire with the Corsair is surely the most famous fighter plane of the Second World War known by the French much more than the Dewoitine D.520 which was nevertheless a very good plane (I love it ! ) but it is one symbols of the defeat of the Battle of France in May June 1940

The Spitfire was piloted by Pierre Clostermann the 1st French Aces of World War II "33 victories" it is synonymous with liberation and the final victory over the Nazism for the majority of French people : http://ww2aces.e-monsite.com/pages/f...ostermann.html

Thank you for explaining about the presence of the Spitfire, Bruno. The Dewoitine D.520 was a good aircraft and,if there had been more of them in 1940, things could have been different.

Came across these two this morning. Brewed by an ex-para and part of the profits going to ex-servicemen's charites. I've liaised with our resident expert on jumping out of perfectly serviceable aircraft (Maverick), who informs me that they are worth a go or two
