Of course I didn't explode once!
But I did fry a bit, getting singed around the edges on the last mission.
Bit of a rest and then off to begin the next chapter in the Traverse City league!
I want me one of them skull and cross bones certificates!

I have a habit of exploding on missions with very little damage, usually several times a night in league play.
We ended our quarter with three games and a pot luck and the games did not count. Of course I did not draw the explosion card once. . .
Sad really.
No, your little target thingy is perched precariously over NW Wales.
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
The local guru of computer wizardry LGKR made up some certificates for fun, the skull and cross bones went to the guys with the most kills in the quarter.
I'd give out cool certificates in my campaign but, seriously, I'm leading in everything. :P Okay, mostly everything...
It's just the gods of chance having a little sport with you!!
Besides, I don't know what you're complaining about...I was trying to out fly the flames on my plane the first and third games, and drew 14points of damage in one game turn in the second game...never made it past turn 5 all night. A chap is absent for a few weeks and you'd think they would give you a break!...
Make some up anyway and just leave yourself out of the running. This is what I did when we had our first awards night. I was ahead in the most kills department and player's points, so I just gave them to the next people on the list. I also had some funny awards.
1. Peanut Butter for the person who always seemed to JAM in every game.
2. A bag of popcorn for the person who had the most explosions.
3. A special good luck charm for the person (Mac) who never seemed to be able to survive a game, that he is able to use 1 time in any game to redraw damage. (still doesn't help much)
...and a few more things like that just for fun.
Well Charlie I must say I am looking forward to playing as a non host! It seemed some players liked to target the store owner, especially, Jesse, David, Rachel, Navneet. . .and then who could resist a smoking/burning/cloth flapping plane trying to escape?
Jytheir, the certificate I got was HOST WITH THE MOST. . .explosions.
Now that is one I am willing to give away!
We need a few more missions before we have some real solid stats on most of the players, but maybe at the end of the school year I will do something with that. Sounds fun but nobody has pulled away on the kill sheet yet.
DOH! You didn't have to show that one!
Nice certif.s Don! What's that at the end?
Of your post, that is.
I think he means this
Führen Sie, folgen Sie oder gehen Sie aus dem Weg.
Heh! Got a good laugh out of this thread. I would get the "Most Almost Dead Surviving Missions" award. Lived through a scenario without flying home with 1 point left in a Neiuport 17 and with 1 point left, shooting down a Camel (non-historical scenario) and bombing the last remaining target.
I should get the Medal of Honor, or Pour le Merite (or whatever the heck the French one is )
Every now and then we do a "free for all", no allies last man or woman flying wins. Sometimes you mess up and don't take a shot at an "ally" and you get burned.
Or just explode.
