Default WGS FRA02 - Skies over Dunkirk

Less than three weeks after invading France and the Low Countries the Wehrmacht’s Blitzkrieg had forced the French Army and the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) deployed in northern France and Belgium back to the Channel Coast. A defensive perimeter was established around the coastal town of Dunkirk, as the Royal Navy launched Operation Dynamo, the evacuation of the beleaguered Allied armies. Warships, unarmed merchantman and even small coastal and riverine craft set out on the hazardous journey across the Channel to Dunkirk. With German ground forces ordered to halt on the Aa Canal, the Luftwaffe was tasked with destroying the trapped Allied armies and any ships sent to save them. On 1 June 1940 forty Ju-87 Stuka dive-bombers of Stukageschwader 77 attacked ships taking troops off the docks and beaches. They were escorted by a large formation of Messerschmitt Bf-109 fighters of Jagdgeschwader 51 and Messerschmitt Bf-110 heavy fighters of Zerstörergeschwader 26. The Stukas were greeted by a hail of anti-aircraft fire, and as they completed their attack a formation of twenty-eight RAF Hawker Hurricanes arrived over the shattered town.

Thanks for an interesting historical scenario, Carl Questions:
    1. altitude? If yes, what is the starting level?
    2. dive bombing/steep diving rules applied?

Thanks Andrzej. Starting altitude for fighters on both sides is 6 as stated in set up, Stukas start at altitude 4. Dive bombing rules are in effect.

I was going to play this one over the weekend but I am clearing my gaming table of WGS to make room for WGF this weekend - we have a new OTT 'The Bitter End' mission to fly

Brilliant looking scenario! Is everybody using the merchant ships from Attack on Convoy 'Bread' for the Merchant ships?
