    R.Wallace Clarke

This is a comprehensive survey covering weapons used by the British air services, featuring in detail weapon aiming systems, guns, and powered turrets, even covering turrets on US designed aircraft used by the RAF. This volume is intended as a "benchmark" reference work for aviation and military buffs, current and former service personnel, model makers and the growing band of aviation relic collectors. The book charts the histories of the three main companies concerned with their design and manufacture - Bristol, Boulton-Paul and Frazer-Nash.

It is an excellent resource for Wings of Glory players who wish to introduce unofficial aircraft to their squadrons. Copies are available from www.amazon.com and it is also available as a downloadable PDF at www.scribd.com.

By the way, with a new copy of this book listed for sale at Amazon for £718.27!!!! I would suggest signing up to scribd for a month ($10) and downloading the PDF and a library load of other reference books

This I would like to read after seeing the collection of gun turrets which is housed at Newark Air Museum. But there is a creepier selection of turrets (in a darker venue) also on display at the Yorks Air Museum at Elvington.

The turrets are TINY ... I certainly could not fit into one of them!

Why do you ask that? The Series 7 thread is over 3 years old...Hey, that's actually kind of sad.
