Hurrah! One of my balloons will make it to the board for the first time!
Two days I have been saving the last response I got from the 'drome in my email (yours) so I could reply.
Glad your SIL is on the mend.

Yo all,
I post for the first time in ages and the site goes down in disgust for two more days. Oh dear Anyway, glad we are back up again. Re Mission 18 - New Years day it is Re Sister in law - she is making good progress and the morphine doses are reducing. She'll be moving to rehab soon. Thanks for the well wishes - have passed them on
Agreed, and I bet he'd have a whale of a time - boom boom - ok somebody had to say it Happy Xmas all!Jonah! Now that sounds a great first name for a new replacement pilot.
Merry Crimble mate

Welcome Edward.
A suggestion, if you don't have an appropriate plane, but you have the card for the plane you need, you can put a note at the start of the scenario saying you are using the plane with the following markings as a place holder and have a card and movement deck for the proper plane.
Or you can carry on with the older planes.
I've played with a substitute plane when necessary using the proper stats. It shouldn't really make that much difference though, the damage cards will even things out!
I used an RE.8 as a stand in for a BE.2 (with a card from the files and the correct movement deck) a couple of missions back.
I received 3 Shapeways BE.2s two weeks or so ago so should have correct models for the next time they are needed.
Welcome back Uncle and a Happy New Year to everyone. Mission 18 going up today, I fervently hope Just won't have the time tomorrow. Hope this is acceptable to all
Go for it Mike - my table is cleared ready for set up !

Continuing from the Most Effective Squadrons thread ...
I didn’t check Early Doors so missed what you were referring to, Dave.
That’s kinda what I meant.
I will consolidate all three periods into a final summary when we are done if you like.
I will use the Squadron Sheet to get the figures.
There is a summary at the end of all the campaign threads bar the current one Pete if that helps.

Thanks Dave.
I will tackle it when we are done with The Bitter End.
Gentlemen, a new player Thomas (Thomas NH) will be joining the campaign for the final push and flying for the Bulldogs. His participation will be a little different in that his German Element will be flown by his younger brother as well as the AI so this will be interesting to see.
Please join me in welcoming him to the Mess

Good to have new blood with us for the last push Thomas.
It may even wake up my Italian Wing a bit.

Welcome to the Campaign Thomas. More Entente reinforcements... dark forebodings for the war's outcome from the perspective of the Kaiser's Eagles.
Looking forward to your adventures.
Welcome, Thomas (and your nameless brother).
The Bulldogs need fresh blut after my latest outing ...
Welcome Thomas and brother. I do hope you enjoy participating in this campaign.
Eagerly awaiting your first AAR. Good Luck guys.
Thanks all. Looking forward to posting my first AAR, I should be able to play the mission this week.
Uncle will be out of the office from this evening - there may be a watching brief but that will be all until Tuesday sometime.
Don't wreck the Mess !

Now that we are back in business I am hoping to see the April mission posted a.s.a.p.
SWMBO is away for the weekend - perfect chance to get 'er done
With the bally wounded leg still in the moon boot looks like I will have 4 to catch up on now!
Unlikely to happen Pete - BOB ( BB401) was the next person slated for a game but he has not partaken for many months and as the site was fried I was unable to make alternative arrangements. I could post a quick match up but I'm inclined to push this all back a month and give an opportunity for some of the chaps catch up with the lead elements.
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Very wise Dave - I would vote for that one. There are quite a few who haven't posted for some time and, maybe, once you get too far behind, the whole thing becomes too daunting
Baz - sincerely hope that the moon boot will be removed in the not too distant future! Can't be much fun trying to get about with that weight stuck on the end of you !!!!!!!!
If Bob (BB401) is out of action I have a mission I can put in when one is needed.
OK, I'll make this official - All squadrons will be moved to a rest area for this month - hopefully those able will be able to catch up or at least reduce the deficit somewhat and we will recommence operations May 1st -
A volunteer is better than a pressed man so I will take you up on your offer Peter if you'd like to jump in on May for us with something for early September 1918 - we're nearly there chaps

No worries. It will give me a chance to try out the London’s Burning game I received a couple of weeks ago.
Or another test of (coincidentally) BB401’s Battle of Britain scenarios.
Sounds good to me Dave.
Dave my Mission 18 AAr has been lost in the latest glitch
The result was an RFC victory with the balloon getting to the ground Smitt and lange got a plane each bringing down Boddy and Ashford if that's any help . Not going to re run the game but will move on to Mission 19 if that's good for everyone.
Fingers crossed thtas the last of the Gremlins for this year.
