They are very cool, Andrew is my son. He lives in Auckland and works at Battlefront Games as a game designer and writer. He just won something at the Mighty Ape Store and has a gaming group room at his house. He keeps sending me all kinds of new games, recently he is getting back to WOW : )

Looks like a fun tabletop game, I have never heard of. Played Dust Tactics several times (now Battlefront line) which is a greag game. Must try this one when released.

1 Panther and 2 Shermans inside? That sounds like fun and two million upcoming expansions...

    I prefer that:

And require assembly. If so, any 15mm tank will do.

Game mat they propose is 36" x 36".

Another perfect game! That is the origin of my nick. I always played the Lanc and the Mossie.

Since it's Battlefront and GF9 those must be Flames of War tanks (15MM as mentioned). I didn't see this a Cold Wars this past weekend but then only looked at the buildings from Battlefront. The Zvezda line of tanks are 1/100 (15mm) and they have some good models. They have a game that uses their models but the scales are strange. Infantry 1/72...tanks 1/100... planes---single engine 1/144 and twin engine 1/200.

Yes the tanks are the same ones we use for flames of war, so 15mm.

For those interested you can download a pdf copy of the Full rulebook on the Tanks website, let me know what you think. I am already planning a duel game campaign for my local club with Wings of Glory and Tank games both advancing their sides goals.

I did a quick skim of the webpage (downloaded the rules, but didn't read them yet). It strikes me as very WoG-like in it's level of complexity and playability.
Pricing is similar ($25 for the starter set, $10 for single tank expansions, though you do have to assemble and paint the tanks).
I was amused reading on the forum that people (obviously FoW players) are already asking for card and token sets only, since they have armies of tanks.
I might need to nibble at this one; will the company have a booth at Origins, you think?

It looks very similar to X-Wing, a good way of handling movement though, interesting to see how they handle other types of force in time. It does look expensive for unassembled and unpainted models though.

Do you see an initiative system for those with motorized vs. hand-cranked turrets? Perhaps more complexity than they wanted to build in, but it would get my goose.

Hmmm interesting, unfortunately I was put off WW2 ground gaming years ago, but I may dabble, was surprised to see no Tiger Tank in the initial releases though and quite surprised to see the Comet and Cromwell

I had a few 72/76 scale tanks for a miniatures group I encountered in Ottawa, Canada many years ago. You could build any team you wanted, so I went crazy. There was a point system, I think, but I never got the rules, just built the tanks and equipment. I had a platoon of Panthers, a supporting Jagdpanther, an 88mm with tractor, a few dodge M6 anti-tank trucks.

I don't have any pictures of these, as they were trashed years ago. They were in my "country's" colors of olive drab, with this symbol:

I cut out a stencil, and dabbed white paint onto the models. It worked out pretty good. At that time, doing home-made decals was inconceivable. Oh! And I used Letraset dry transfer letters, too. They worked really well on mat paints. A mat clear coat would have helped, too.

Then, I joined the Navy, and lived out of a locker on a ship for three years. Stuff got left at home, and then my Dad moved. Anything I didn't want, or didn't have room for was disposed of.

This looks to be interesting, I will give it a closer look.

Huh -- nice to know I'm not the only one. (Also have _Carrier Strike_ and whatever the air-combat game was called; plus I found something called _Chopper Strike_, in a similar vein.)

    Ha, indeed!.
I wonder what scale my old Tank Battle game tanks are? Would be a good way to dust them off and get them back in action.

    I love tanks!
    cons:
    $9.99 for 15mm unassembled/unpainted plastic models, I don't know.
The game offers a nice range of tanks, but seems to scatter over very wide time periods.
Before I make judgement, I'll need to read the rules. Is it over simplified?
And no Tiger I?! You must be kidding me!
I know I'd never spring $40 for a 36 x36 for the terrain mats. One looked like a single color...
I'm not sure my hobby funds are best invested in this game.
    Pros:
This game reminds me of X-wing's priority for movement and shooting.
Interesting card building mechanic to individualize each tank.
Seems like a simple Skirmish level game.
Looks to be a quick playing game that can tailored to the size/number of tanks you want to play.
    It's tanks!!
This is a maybe for the time being.

As for the cost, the singles do come with a set of play aids; once you have one, adding models to the mix might be easy.
FoW mini packs look like they run $12-$14 a tank with extras and assembly, so maybe $10.00 isn't too bad.

I was playing regularly for some time, but work travel made it so I did not renew my Premium membership so now I just pop in once in a while for a quick one.
Have to stay under Level 8 to end up with positive points so my 8-9-10 levels are collecting dust in the garage.

I didn't have any idea what this was about Allen.
Not even a Clueso I just assumed it was a Pink Panzer.

I should pull my 1/72 tanks and take pics. Played a game called TRACTICS many years ago and that started my collection. Stationed on Okinawa for 5 years so bought many Hasagawa models while there. Best guess I must have 300 to 400 tanks.

Boy, that brings back the memories, Bob. Using a whole room for the battle matt, crawling around to move units and get sightlines!
