    Default Homemade Trenches and No-Man's-Land

This picture is a shot of my relatively recently painted trench line/No-Man's-Land mat spacer in action. We used it last weekend for the first time in public, and redcoon2 (Thomas) suggested I post a how-to on the Forum. So I have uploaded a series of photos into an album on My Profile, along with brief descriptions on most pictures, if you are interested in seeing the progression and process I used to make this. If you have further questions on how I made it, please don't hesitate to ask!

We had a great time playing on it, and everyone seemed to enjoy flying 'over the lines' for a change.

    As always, thanks for looking!

    All the best,
    Matt

Matt--you did a fantastic job on that map insert. Your colors blend very nicely with the stock mats. I bet you could open a cottage industry making those!

    Nice work Matt,
I like how you blended in with the official matts matchung roads and rivers.

Thanks so much for the kind words and REP, folks! It really was a lot of fun to make, and I plan on making another section so I can use it at Origins on the 'double-wide' format. My ping-pong table here at home won't fit the double-wide format, but that's no problem...

I really must say I was surprised at how 'simple' it was to make, all things considered!

    Always the best,
    Matt

Great job! Last Monday night Baxter brought around the fold-out trench overlay from one of the Kick-starter Giants and it certainly added to the ambiance of our regular Monday night flying.

I was wondering how I could produce my own set of trenches when along came your post!

Thanks for the 'blow-by-blow' account - well done Matt!
