    Default A quiz RCAF WW2

    Two questions. No 1 Squadron No. thats an easy one. No 2 What did they fly in WW2. There is no prize just for funClick image for larger version.

    Haha I cannot I'm afraid. OK I'll take a stab after some digging. 1 sqn formed into 401 sqn RCAF. But before that happened and before the war broke out they were flying the Armstrong Whitworth Sisken. They then switched to the Hawker Hurricane and subsequently were posted to the UK where they participated in the Battle of Britain.
    Now I may be off, so let me know. I didn't even know what a Sisken was until looking into this though to be perfectly honest.

    Armstrong Whitworth Siskin IIIAs and a few Siskin IIIDC two-seaters as trainers.
