Hi All

Just been speaking to the organisers of the show.
We currently have one table 8 by6 for a WW1 game at this show.
We have 6 tickets currently allocated and I have sorted out who is getting the slots. Of course this is not stopping anyone coming along but I am limited to the free tickets.
Hopefully we will get a lot of members turning up for this little sojourn.

The table will be WW1 and we will follow the usual format of a couple of dogfights follows by a couple of missions, 2 seater/ balloon maybe.
I was hoping we could follow up last years Gotha raid with an entente one, hopefully HP 0400 but most likely a mass Caproni raid with Albatross trying to gun them down, how does that sound?
I myself can supply 4 or 5 Capronis and maybe we can ask Neil to supervise as he did last year, so how many capronis do we have?
I suggest you mark your own models before hand mind.
Just a suggetstion but how does it sound.

I can't make this one either - increased work commitments, combined with a weekend rosta looking after my terminally ill father mean I just can't do three weekends in a row.
By doing Hammerhead and Triples, the one in the middle must go.

Just had e-mail from organisers 22/02/2016 19.40Hrs........

we have TWO...Not one, but TWO tables....each 8 x 6

and we can have up to 10/12 people across the two tables

perhaps an SoG and WoG WW1 for the offering

this gives plenty more FREE entry slots ..

if this helps persuade people to attend / participate.

Dave Ill bring my WW1 stuff also, but if you could bring a couple of mats and. Balloons and whatever aircraft you want to fly plus any Fokker DVII

I propose Jasta 5 Albatross v Camels to start
Followed by early Eindekkers v MS n
Then balloon mission

Last a HP raid, I got 2 with me against 4 Fokker DvII

Sails I got 4 sol french v brits, we can put president in also

Quite a hectic day , but very enjoyable, thanks to Simon, Chris and Dave ( Maverick, Hedeby and Dave Manley) for turning up and assisting. Both Chris and Simon used their kit, so in Tim's absence we have others able to take the strain and I can take less kit to shows

Pics will be forthcoming, especial one showing Hedeby in a compromising position

Well back from the show, much quieter than last year and no suppliers of Wings or Sails (unless you count Caliver books who had three Staaken's for sale - not too badly priced at £69.50 - none sold).
Thanks to Chris, Simon and Dave Manley for all the support, we were spread quite thin across two large tables. Unfortunately I was running the WW1 table all day so no opportunity to take many photo's (also I forgot my camera - left it in the hall when loading car - doh!)

One nice surprise today was just how polite and well behaved and interested the kids we had joining in today - unlike at some other shows, they were a credit to their parents)

Also Dave didn't infect anyone - which is another bonus..

Action from game one as the RFC DH2's try to take down an observation balloon protected by some Eindeckers - shot down a couple of the DH2's but not before we lost one of the Eindeckers and alas the balloon - so game to the RFC, mush as it was in the afternoon when despite losing the Bristol Fighters early on against some Halberstadts and Hanovers, SImon managed to shoot down both balloon and Hanover and escape , all with a shot up RE-8 !! nice work Simon.

Thanks again chaps nice to catch up, natter and have a few games. Just as it should be...

impossible as Ares have not released said aircraft

Yes we had the obligatory fire alarm evacuation but they brought it forward to about 11:30 rather than the 2:00pm from the last two years

Yes that is a Bristol in the foreground, no Hedeby is not playing with it... (ooh matron), yes that is a Halberstadt 2 seater he has in hand.
I cant say how many times we told him he could not play with his Bristols

The young lady in the pic tried both Wings and sails during the day, but when big Brother wanted to play XWing, she came back for another wings game.

Thats all from me as I was on the sails table but Chris and Dave and Simon kept the flag flying and were a credit
