    Default Free book from Amazon

Amazon are currently giving away free Kindle edition copies of ROLLING THUNDER: An Historical Novel of War and Politics (Wings of War Book 1) by Mark Berent. I have not read this book so I do not know how good it is.

I have just finished reading this 'novel', feels almost autobiographical to me, and found it one of the best Viet-Nam fiction novels that I have ever read. The author carried out 254 combat missions in Nam so knows the subject. If half of what he writes about Johnson and McNamara is true those two should have been shot. I would recommend this book to anybody.
I am now deep into the second novel in the series which, unfortunately was not free but very reasonably priced nonetheless.

Just finished the 5th and last book in this 'Wings of War' series and was captivated to the end. I found all the novels to page turners and can't recommend them enough.
The first one is free but that is only to get you to buy the sequels. They are well worth the very reasonable prices. Total cost of the four sequels was £8.90.

Paul, you do not need a Kindle. You can download a free Kindle ap from the Amazon website onto your PC and read books that way.

Amazon must be a little put out if they can't sell their Special Ks

How can they be put out? It is Amazon who are offering the free ap, presumably in the hope of selling more e-books.
