Book Title: The Bristol Blenheim - A Complete History
Author: Graham Warner
ISBN: 0-947554-92-0
Category: Reference
Format: Hardback
Summary: This large tome (over 600 pages) does what it says on the tin - it tells the complete story of the Bristol Blenheim. Part 1 deals with the genesis of the Blenheim, while Part 2 covers European wartime service by chapter, each covering a differing length of time. Completing each chapter is a number of appendices showing - by aircraft - losses in fighter, bomber and coastal command as well as for specific operations.
Chapter 3 covers Blenheims in the Far East and Middle East theatres, and Part 4 deals with support and flying training units. Again there are appendices showing detailed losses.
The book is rounded of with more photographs than you can shake a stick at, including several colour plates of the Mk IV Blenheim that was originally restored to airworthy condition.
The book is an excellent reference source, the author being the man behind the restoration both of the Mk IV and then the Mk I Blenheim at Duxford. The book has been out of print for some time now, but it can still be picked up at a reasonable price through Amazon (it was £35 in 2002, I picked my near-mint copy up for £20).
