    Exclamation News about Iberian Shadow

To my fellow pilots, wingmen and friends,

I am posting this thread today to let you in on some news about my friend and gaming brother Luis Postigo. Most of you know him as IBERIAN SHADOW here on the forums. Luis is a valued member of the Buckeye Gamers in Flight, and games with us at local events and the Origins Games Fair as often as his busy schedule has allowed him to. Two of the most common phrases you will hear from him is "SIDE HUGGER!!! Get over here and fight!" and "Tom, you are going down!" Luis is an incredibly giving, caring, generous, and kind individual. CappyTom and I are both very proud to be able to call him our friend

Luis runs a printing business on the side, and has produce many of the fantastic 4x6 vinyl playmats for WGF and WGS that we give away for prizes and or use for many of our local events and events at Origins. A few of you own one or more of these mats.

These are just a few of the mats that Luis has produced for us at little or no cost:

From an Origins 2015 WWII event.

From an Origins 2013 WWII Event.

Our gift to the Origins 2013 Lend Lease member Nightbomber.

A Sails of Glory Map with Islands (and the 3D counterparts) at Origins 2013

It is with a heavy heart that I now have to inform you that Luis was diagnosed just a few weeks with Stage 4 Lung cancer. Luis is undergoing treatment, and the doctor's are managing his pain. Unfortunately though, his condition is not favorable. If you wish to send Luis a message you can do so through the site here, or through his personal Facebook page, and the Buckeye Gamers in Flight Facebook Group. I am sure he would appreciate a friendly hello and kind words!

Luis's daughter Elizabeth has also started a GoFundMe page in order to help the family cope with the influx of both medical and household bills over the next few months. It can be found here.

As a favor to CappyTom, myself, and the members of the BGIF, if you do nothing else, then please take just two seconds and send out some good vibes his way. He is certainly in need of them!

Thanks for taking the time to read this post. If you do nothing else, then please send out some good vibes his way. He is certainly in need of them!

I am sad to report that Luis passed away this morning. I know he was not very active here, but he will always stand as one of the most honorable people I have been proud to call a wingman. I am unable to express how sorely he will be missed here amongst The Buckeye Gamers, his many friends, and family.

I have been in touch with Luis & his family via Facebook & said prayers for him as he fought the brave fight with Cancer.

He will certainly be missed! Thoughts and prayers to all who were touched by him...

    Saddened to see this.

We lost a close friend to the big C last year.
I always assumed he would be one of those who was going to 'beat it'.
Then he drew the Boom card ...

Condolences to all who knew Luis.
