Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
Just seen the M.O. again, and the jolly old back is a bit worse than first thought. Been given a further 2 weeks off work and another supply of frog pills, but the upside is that the most comfortable chair to sit in is the one at my painting table
Therefore sadly I have to bow out of the Doncaster do. Given I still need SWMBO to get my socks on, driving 3 hours to Donny is a bit of a non-starter.
Sad to miss it, but there you go. Please scratch myself and Mrs G from the mess dinner.
Steve
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Based on a template provided by Mike (Oldguy) I've put together some cards to hand out at Doncaster:
The back of the cards
A card for everyone who turns up:
A card for everyone who gets shot down at least once:
A card for the person who catches fire the most times (aka the Kyte Award)
A card for anyone who draws an explosion card/chit:
A card for whoever the umpires consider has had the worst luck over the Saturday (Similar card for WW2):
A card for whoever has shot down the most aircraft on the Saturday (similar card for WW2):
And finally, a card for whoever is adjudged to have had the worst case of man(ley)-flu
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
It is a said news indeed, Steve.
I shall recommend the group to play a custom scenario "Man Down!" in a free slot to your honour
The downed man shall obviously fly again!

Sorry to hear you won't be there. We two will have to enjoy the event by proxy through the updates posted here
As I sit here nursing my walking stick between myself and the keyboard I feel very deeply for you Steve.
My sciatica flared up again this weekend and between that and the Dentist this morning I'm not doing too well either. Mind you you would have loved to see the contortions getting me into and out of the Dentists chair.
I am also on pain killers and resting. It is just a pity that this computer is up stairs.
I do wish you a speedy recovery, and am really sorry that you won't make it to Donny this year.
Will be thinking of you.
Rob.

We definitely will.
I am very, very sorry to hear about your health problems, Rob.
PM on the way, good Sir.

As Flying Helmut would say, "Worse things happen at sea." Much worse.
