So, the custom bases I bought from Keith are now obsolete - great.

Interesting. Wonder what initiated this change?

    Thanks, Simon.
I see they are giving us another possible reason to ignore the Pfalz D.III/IIIa ...

(Not that it will make a difference to me - still love mine)

    Huge swing on the Rumpler.

    Yes, the Rumpler...
A plane whose great success was based around its abiity to fly higher than the Entente's fighters, out of their reach.
Now condemned to be reached, overtaken and shot down by practically ALL of them

The altitude rules as written make scenarios with take off and landing nearly impossible to play unless you have a climb rate of 2 or 3.
They really need to give us v2.0 instead of making my one Rules book (of 3 copies) obsolete as well .....

Comparing the various datas, it appears indeed that the max altitude of the Rumpler C.IV seems a bit underatted.
The updated climb rate of Pfalz D.IIIa seems relevant, according to pilots testimonies.

    RAF SE.5A
    Service ceiling: 17,000*ft (5,200*m)
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_..._Factory_S.E.5

    * 5 minutes 17 seconds to 2,000*m (6,600*ft)

Interesting information. Now, if they could give us a revised A deck for the Spad XIII so that it is actually useful for other flying maneuvers other than straight, immelman, straight. Life would be better!

Interesting changes. Not worried about the Rumpler ceiling as I don't think that will come into play.

The Rumpler stats would be quite varied depending if it was using the Maybach engine so maybe the change is from that.
Completely agree with the need for simplified/revised altitude rules, but thankfully the community has come up with some options.

They've added the Hannover C.III to the table, which is good

The Hannover CL.IIIa was already included in the previous version.

Here are the two files side by side, the previous and the new one :

Thanks for the heads-up. I have updated the Wings of Linen WIKI with the new stats, as well as the two R.A.F. S.E.5a cards there that I have done.
