The balsa elves are hard at work getting ready for our local Flying Aces Free Flight Contest next month, 10 events are entered and the hanger is full of activity!

Catapult Jets! For this event the models are scale jets flung into the air with a single 9" loop of 1/4" rubber attached to a 6" stick! How fun can that be? Flights are timed for duration. Here we have a B-58 Hustler,

XB-70,

Vulcan Bomber,

and the Proteus.

All will be painted and detailed for full points! The sea elves are not being very patient waiting for the table top . . . something about carriers and destroyers . . . what a place!

Pilatus Turbo Porter getting a few repairs before the big show . . .

36" wingspan and weighs only 2 ounces before rubber, flight duration is 4 minutes.

those balsawood a/c really bring back memories. of course none of mine were so elaborate but i did have many hours of fun with the biplane ones back in the day. they never did last all tha long though lol.

Now that is just extracting the urine!
Just because you have an Elven production line working on your multi faceted projects there is no need to show up we poor souls who only have one work bench or even just a table top.
Next you will be telling us you have two sheds.
