...Now, a few questions/observations I have:
1) I noticed the Dr 1 will occasionally plan 2 sideslips in a row. Since those are steep maneuvers, isn't that technically illegal?
2) When playing with altitude, how do the AI planes cope? I have been having them play straights as dives if their enemy is below them and they could take a shot. I wonder if altitude counters might be added along with the damage counters and an "enemy above/below/same level" switch be added along with the "enemy far/near" switch in the 2nd gen rules.
3) When playing with special damages I've been treating guns jammed as normal, fire as normal, and pilot wounded as normal. However, since there is no way of communicating special damage to the app, I can't apply engine damage and rudder damage to AI planes as usual. What I'm doing now is just to add 1 extra point of damage when an AI plane draws engine damage (2nd engine damage drawn still eliminates the plane as normal) and when a rudder damage is drawn, if the AI plane flies the direction it shouldn't (ie draws a right rudder damage and then flies right), I have it be unable to fire. The pilot is fighting with his controls and cannot fire.....
