    Default Snoopy Modelling

    Hello all,

My apologies if this has been raised in the past.

Has anyone constructed a Snoopy model using a monopoly red hotel as the Kennel/Camel base?

    Mike

    Hi Mike
Take a look among the blogs and files
you will see a ready made Snoopy
in flying goggles and scarf on his hutch
    already exists
Amazon is one place to look
I got mine for less than £1
there is even a converted one for Von Snoopey!
the pictures are on the aerodrome in a blog / file
If you want a really miniature version.......
which using a monopoly house would
I guess be very small indeed...?
To date I have not seen a snoopy that small...
Hope this helps in some small way...?
    Regards
    Maverick

I've started sculpting a 'scale' Snoopy - I have his doghouse/Camel blocked in in sculpting putty, but I have to get going on finishing it. Then sculpting the pup will be the challenge...

As much as I love the Snoopy I got just before the Kickstarter (thanks to Zoe's heads-up), I look forward to having something a little more 'in scale' with the WoG planes...

    All the best,
    Matt

    Thumbs up

I still wish Snoopy's kennel was Green instead of Red!

I too want to try something a little more in scale, the "hotel" looks fine, but Snoopy will definitely be over scale for 1/144

So far not much progress - the hotel has a 2mm peg attached underneath and has been filled, the sides have been planked, and I'm thinking of tinkering with a bent wire to support greenstuff to sculpt snoopy that can be attached on top

Um -- all the _Monopoly_ sets I'm familiar with, the hotel isn't much bigger than my thumbnail; how'n'ell're you making a _WoG_ mini from one?

    Hi Chris,

Yes very small indeed. see the pic, ignore the Pups and others Snoopy is in the corner of the pic.
All that is there so far is a plastic rod former, to this I'll be attaching some plastic extruded sprue legs and arms.
Then (in between loads of other projects) I'll mass it out with green stuff and sculptName: IMAG0064.jpg

in my album WWI Aircraft there is a picture of a Valom Pup, with the cockpit cut out and a kennel made of thin card placed in, and Snoopy on top, also cut from thin card.
It is the Prototype Sopwith Kennel with a single Vickers gun on the fuselage plus twin Lewis guns on a foster mount.
if the link doesn't work, just go to my profile.
I found the basic Kit quite fiddley to do, but kit bashing is always fun
