I am reading this one on my phone. Very well written, you can feel the atmosphere, fear and frustration that some of these young fliers experienced and get a good idea of their training too.

Must have a look at that one Gary.
I just finished the Roald Dahl "Going Solo" on my Kindle, and am now on "Zeppelin over Suffolk. The Final Raid of L48." by Mark Mower.

I listened to The Unsubstantial Air as an audiobook pretty recently and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was a good listen and had good insight into the pilots daily lives. There was a good deal of quoting from diaries and letters home. About a chapter was devoted to Rickenbacker, but must of that info was straight out of Fighting the Flying Circus (also a must read!). I followed it up with The Millionaire's Unit for more of an American perspective of the war, and I highly recommend that as well. There was much about Yale and US seaplanes that I didn't have a clue about!
