    Neil and other Chaps!

Since this year is the well known 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain - wouldn't it be nice to have one scenario played just in honour of the pilots fighting those days? I am aware of the fact it means a change in the planned games, but what if we play Ace of Aces final tournament on Saturday just as BoB instead of the WGF?
No planes progress, but a simple respawning rule. There could be waves of He 111s, Stukas, Me 110 opposed by Spits and Hurries.
An epic Adlertag Battle I see...
Lots of planes circling above Dover, bombs falling, sound of sirens...just WoW!
    What do you think?

    No worries Andy.
    It is already in hand.
We are trying to get each country to do one dedicated battle if they have an event during the BoB period this year.

    Thanks Paul.
I am affraid we would miss something important if we, the WGF/WGS gamers did not play a single BoB scenario at Donnie to commemorate the anniversary.
I do not want to ruin someone else's plan (@Rob,Neil&Chris) at all, but the final Sat game seems to be more than adequate. These are just 2 cents.

Although my game slot is WWII Its more of a "Great Escape" scenario rather than a strictly dogfight/intercept, although I do foresee a fair bit of Me 110 Vs Spits action.

I was actually thinking that one of the ordinary WW2 games could be re arranged rather than the Ace of Aces, which if changed would preclude those who did not play WW2.
The original idea I had was to do it at The World Champs, as we have more wiggle room there, and visitors who were not members, but Andy's suggestion looked like a good solution.
I don't really mind one way or the other. It's an event for the membership, not me.

Put it to a vote. Go with majority. Ask who wants to run it.

I does not have to be run by any GM, Neil.
Of course, let the attendees decide.
There seems to be a lot of time, so let's treat it rather "lightly", like a leisure Battle of Britan for all, even those newcomers to WGS. I picture it as a two team epic game consisting of some bombing runs with escorts opposed by the Few. No collisions, no altitude rules, no advanced options like +A consecutive shooting, simplified level bombing. Just a fun memorable BoB scenario that everybody would enjoy and remember. It is just my first thought, no pressure of course.
I will gladly play any game (as probably everyone of us will do) and Ace of Aces is an absolutely great project.

Would absolutely love a BoB scrap (as I do have my ME-109 to fly), but would prefer to keep the ace of aces game as it is, if we could get both that would be perfect

Now I can understand travelling in cabin baggage although Ryanair and their handling companies (predominantly Menzies Aviation) are excellent for Hold Baggage @ Destination. Not Breakfast in New York: Dinner in London ... Luggage in Mumbai! It is the way hold baggage does tend to get thrown around automated baggage systems and handballed off them and onto baggage trains which would concern me.

I have only ever transported in their default boxes and by road and had no problems in doing so - but this is very different. Do travel like this well and what best in - KR carry cases?

KR Cases are the bees knees. I'd love to bring some over this year but Doncaster is only a stop off for a couple of days before we head off to see our son and family in Spain near Gib. So it's a bit tricky.and risky , as you said in your post

Chaps, have realised that through various planning issues and real world issues that weekend is probably the last chance I will have to see the Vulcan fly. She's flying from Donnie both days so there is a very high chance that one of the two afternoons that weekend I will be heading over to the airport to see her go.

    Hi all
I have been offline for a while so not keeping up with things (anything happen whilst I was away?)
I would love to have come to Doncaster but unfortunately my regiment in the Sealed Knot is hosting a muster that weekend and I will be helping to set up and clear up.
The upside is that it is at The Tank Museum and I am very much a treadhead.
A weekend of gunpowder, tanks and beer joy!

I hope all you pilots going to Donnie have a great time

Thanks Neil , got my Beret packed and an Andouille sausage to go with the Camembert. The baguette can wait, the call of the Stottie and pease pudding is too strong.

I would like to take this opportunity to give Tim (Flying Helmut) a Big Big thank you for providing all of the aircraft for the ace of aces game.

Tim this game would have been hard to put on without your invaluable assistance, now it more than just a reality it is stupendous.
