    @ No Sales!!!

Stafford Games was supposed to have turned up on the Sunday only so I gather. It sounds as if they didn't turn up at all and looks like it from all the photos taken on Sunday - cannot see a trade stand in the background.

    Guilty as charged.
Condemned by their absence I'm afraid.
I spent my money on line yesterday.
As a good Parliament man, I won't call it Ship money.Click image for larger version.

This no-show is a little disappointing to learn of. Especially as you were encouraging me to take a look at what Stafford Games had on offer Sails-wise Sir.

Their prices seemed very reasonable too - wonder why they were unable to turn up.

No Sails / No Sales was a bit more 'Epic Fails' IMHO - Can't help feeling that Stafford Games let us down a bit there.

Like the idea of us having a Trade Stand at the event though - will we have one at Doncaster 2016 please so I may start saving / stop buying diecast models in time not to roll up brassic next year?!

I will certainly be having a quiet word at the Stafford Stand next weekend.

Gather from this you are going to be at Castle Donington Sir - best news I have had all day

I am hoping to attend both days although I'll be on my own on the Saturday. Lady Wife and I hoping to attend on the Sunday.

Yes I will be there Barney.
I have not missed a World Champs since it was at the Victoria Baths in Nottingham.

Lets see, now...................that would be NONE, so, therefore, actually not disappointed at all!

I was having trouble deciding what I would be able to buy from Stafford Games; I thought it would not be cricket to buy nothing, but I seem to already have a plane or two.

    Needless to say, NO SAILS!!!!

I love your game of words chaps.
Although me and my group really like Sails I am on Tim's side .
SoG may be a side table, but WINGS OF GLORY is the primary goal we are there, are not we?

    Bl**dy well said, that man!

    "WINGS of Glory", not Sails.

Never visited the Anchorage, never will.

I have to agree with that.
Sails will never take the place of Wings, but it does give a gentle diversion from time to time.

Of course the good thing about Tim's self imposed exile from the wondrous game that is SoG is that it does mean there's at least some chance for the average wargamer in the street to get hold of models (Tim's WGF "lake" being an international legend of course)

Tim's batman taking his latest purchases to their new home...

Got a message from Stafford, he apologised for not attending, real life took over as his daughters both decided to return to their Uni's that Sunday and Dad's taxi came into play.

To add to the sails debate, I really like sails and now have two large fleets, looking forward to the Spanish, when Ares pull their fingers out. I'll also play WW2 but first priority is WGF for me has been since first discovering the game, as my collection will testify.
So Wings will be always first, Sails is ok by me, so unlike Tim, Sails ahoy is good

    WGF 98 models

    WGS 76 models

    SoG 26 models + 40 Langtons

    Love all three.
See you on the Dark Side......
