Since I now have a few WW2 planes and (god forbid) some ships ! (sorry Tim), the one thing I had missing were damage counter bags. Looked at dice bags etc all very nice but didn't fancy spending nigh on £25 on a few bags. So here is a practical and much much cheaper option (they look ok to, especially for the sails side of things)
Take some hessian draw string bags (available at £2.95 for three !) (10cm x 15cm)

Some metal rings 'acquired' off key fobs found abandoned in the stationary cupboard and a set of wooden tags from Hobby craft also £2.95)
Put them all together and I have the five bags I need (well six actually) for under £6.00
More than reasonable I think.
I am getting a friend of mine with a laser cutter to do some 30mm wooden disc tags once he has sorted out the damage caused when a delivery driver drove a forklift into the laser cutter - ouch but in the meantime, very happy with the outcome. Also evidence I do actually have a workbench its just that not a lot happens on it...
