Default Quick & Easy (and very cheap) damage counter bags

Since I now have a few WW2 planes and (god forbid) some ships ! (sorry Tim), the one thing I had missing were damage counter bags. Looked at dice bags etc all very nice but didn't fancy spending nigh on £25 on a few bags. So here is a practical and much much cheaper option (they look ok to, especially for the sails side of things)

Take some hessian draw string bags (available at £2.95 for three !) (10cm x 15cm)

Some metal rings 'acquired' off key fobs found abandoned in the stationary cupboard and a set of wooden tags from Hobby craft also £2.95)

Put them all together and I have the five bags I need (well six actually) for under £6.00

    More than reasonable I think.

I am getting a friend of mine with a laser cutter to do some 30mm wooden disc tags once he has sorted out the damage caused when a delivery driver drove a forklift into the laser cutter - ouch but in the meantime, very happy with the outcome. Also evidence I do actually have a workbench its just that not a lot happens on it...

This is excellent - I desperately need to equip myself with Damage Token bags now I have begun to do public demonstrations and participation games of WGS.

Would also enhance playing away from the public eye too of course ... Thank you for posting / sharing on here

Cheap and cheerful answer to a vexing question, bags or more planes/ships (I'm also sorry Tim.)
You could also paint the tags in the right colour to match the chit.

The problem wouldn't exist if you didn't have ships!

Actually, I will need some chit bags for when I start playing WGS in public; nice idea, Chris!

I have bought some cotton drawstring bags from The Clever Baggers.

Obviously cotton bags are not as tough as hessian, Chris, but they seem fairly durable to me. Also you can write on them.
