Bombing Raid on British British Expeditionary Force HQ
Prague, 30th June 2015
6 players, 7 planes
Date of mission: 5th June 1918
Location: Saint-Omer, France, under BEF command
Story: The strategic bomber Zeppelin Staaken R.VI is approaching to Saint-Omer, the HQ of BEF in France, full bomb loaded and escorted with two shiny new Fokkers D.VII. But British fighters did not sleep and started for the fight with really big bird...
Central Powers Forces: 2x Fokker D.VII, 1x Zeppelin Staaken R.VI (with auto pilot)
Entente Forces: 1x Bristol F.2B Fighter(B/A), 2x RAF S.E.5a, 1x Sopwith Camel
Central Powers victory conditions: shoot down bomber before it leave the battlefield
Entente victory conditions: cross the battlefield with autopiloted Zeppelin Staaken.
Special rules: autopilot for bomber
Result: Entante won - they destroys bomber two or three movew before leaving the mat.
Balance: 80 %. Autopilot is not as good as we hoped - it should be better to move bomber by real player.
Bomber fly along the right edge of the battlefield with it's escort.
Injured British pilot is attacking Zeppelin. It was his last mistake...
And from the close range. Goering was started to fire by Bristol Fighter.
The first S.E.5a is down and Goering was in perfect possition, but has jammed machine guns.
Another perfect possition for Goering, but...still jammed guns! (Yes, it was me who played white Fokker!)
Bomber is turning left and shoot at S.E.5a. Face to face meeting...
Finally in action! I have in my sight!
And revenge to Bristol Fighter! It tastes good...
Breaking point. Tha last move for the Camel and...
...for Hermann Goering too...
...and Bristol's harvest continue - the second Fokker.
Both S.E.5a are attacking Staaken continuously, but the end will be in direction of other plane.
Yes, Bristol Fighter shooted down all three Central Powers attackers (bomber included). His pilot was honored with Military Cross!
