The Mighty Hanover

Biggles Downunder and I had our first game with the new planes the other night. He flew the Hanover with an escort of one fokker razor and I had a couple of Frog Nieuports. He was doing a recon of a couple of targets on my side. I had an AA gun and an AAA machine gun too. The Razor did not seem to be flying close escort so both my birds headed for the Hanover. That thing can really fly. Fast, fairly maneuverable and it can do an immelman! I tried to Boom and Zoom but the rear guns hit me on the way past and killed my first plane. With my second plane I attacked him from the rear quarter and then headed off at full speed with the intention of doubling back for another run but he was just as fast as me and I could not shake him off my six! Second plane down and a total victory to my opponent who also managed to get his photographs

Conclusion: Plan well when fighting this plane. Sell the N28's to the USA. Try Bristols next time

Good idea, but concentrate on the first part!

See the various Triples threads in the U.K. wing; we tried 4 Bristols against 4 Hannovers.
Speed was not a factor, since the Bristols were faster.
The Bristols had 2 A/B and 2 B/A gunned planes, against 4 B/B Hannovers with just the lack of a rear blind spot to help them.

We Brits got HAMMERED!

Might be interesting to try a couple of SE 5a's or Spad XIII's!

We had a familygame last saturday. 2 Bristols + 1 HD1 Vs 2 razors + 1 Hanover. I flew one of the razors. In the last 2 rounds i shot down all three enemyaircrafts. But it was not my effort that
brought them down. The Hanover had crippled them good and I only delivered the mercy-shot.

Those hardturns are a blast. Just so hard to stay o target.
