Impressive! Thank you for posting it, Barry! History comes to life

That is a good picture, Barry!
That has new screensaver written all over it (well actually it has classic aircraft photography written all over it , but you get my point)
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
Great, brilliant!
Trick of the light maybe but the Dr1 looks as if it's been photo-shopped in - great pic even so - wouldn't want to be in the DH.5 !
I was amazed how big the roundels are on the top wing.

If you are also a fan of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 the Vintage Aviator Co Fokker DR 1 is available to download as a full Aircraft Package with three different liveries. I have it and it works really well.

To even matters out there is also a perfectly good Sopwith Camel which I have and about six different colour schemes - some which have to be downloaded separately and added to the main Aircraft Package which plugs and plays straight from installation (Package comes with self-installer) and flies fine. Search Flightsim under FS2004 -> All Files -> Sopwith Camel for this. Same (FS2004 -> All Files -> Fokker Triplane) for the Fokker DR 1.
Once downloaded these aircraft (with realism on FS2004 set to as real as it gets) are very challenging to fly without stressing them out and it's Game Over. Small and / or gentle joystick and throttle inputs appear to be what wins the day: A bit of an acquired art which you do soon get a feeling for. A friend has just told me that the Eindecker E1 is also available for WW1 aviation fanatics - Flightsim.com -> FS2004 -> All Files -> Eindecker.
Great photos. A dream would be to get to NZ to see the great planes that are down there.
What is the lump on the British plane's upper wing?

Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
For that matter: What the hell *is* the British unit? DH5?
