My first repaint!
I bought myself another Fokker DR.1 as a £7.59 it would have been rude not to. I've already got three of Von Richthofen's all over red paint scheme and so it was high tide I set to with my paintbrushes.
I quite like the Jasta 2 paint job on Kempf's Dr.1 but wasn't that keen on trying to recreate the streaky effect on such small models.

The Citadel foundation Knarloc Green is a pretty close base match for the Jasta 2 green, however I opted to go for a darker shade using Citadel Colour Catachan Green, simply because I think it looks better.
I used the Vallejo liquid mask to cover the decals before priming with a carbody grey. For the under wings and struts I mixed Citadel colour Shadow Grey with white to produce an eggshell blue.
I've not personalised it to any one individual pilot yet, my intention is to paint up a number of them and then detail them. I like the idea of fighting with squadrons and they will make a good match for my SE5A's.
