Thread: Initiate here (Edinburgh)

  1. #1

    Default Initiate here (Edinburgh)

Apologies for my late show up, name is Roland, originally from germany but now flying from Edinburgh in Bonny Scotland. At now 35 years old I am playing anything that offers me fun and where gamers are relaxed and not solely focussed on winning.

I play WWI and got into Wings of Glory because of my magazine and the 100 years anniversary for WWI last year. Due to my studies (again....) I do not really have that much time for gaming but happy to arrange something that works.

    Now let's mention the war....

Welcome Roland, from here in Bristol, enjoy your time here.
There are a couple of shows up in Scotland and would be an ideal opportunity to meet fellow pilots, Sqn Ldr a Scafloc will no doubt be contacting you about those. See you in the mess

Not often I get the chance to welcome someone twice in two days Roland.
But this calls for another session down at the virtual bar.
I will add you to the Scottish Squadrons list when I next do an update.
Would you like to keep your German Flag or change to a U.K. one to avoid misconceptions as to where you reside now?
Good to have you with us dear chap.

Hi guys and thanks for the welcome

@Flying Officer Kyte: I do not mind the flag but if UK is better then sure. How?
@Hedeby: My favourite is currently "Barker" Sopwith Camel as his Baron-ness in Red keeps letting me down. "Rickenbacker" has been shot down easily on two occasions as well (Robert can tell you....) Also, afraid not gonna make many meeting etc due to study duties, went bak to uni last year to do another Master
@Ned2: Aberdeen sounds good, what is being played up there besides WoG and the evil game?

My gaming buddies sound like the guys you like to play. We do Wings of Glory, Bolt Action and Flames of War on a regular basis. I do stick my nose in here now and then, but rather spend my time painting or on a table top. Cheers! Das Phantom, aka Wayne
