    It does say on the shop website;

    If you have a particular item that you can’t find then please get in touch by email, phone, carrier pigeon or any other form of communication and I’ll see what I can do to help. I will look at any project that piques my interest – and even some mundane ones as well, my interests are wide and varied so give it a whirl, you never know

    I will drop him an email to see if it is something that would interest him, along with a winch truck.

    It may also be of interest to our members who engage in DoW WW2 gaming.

    I bought these a year ago in 1/144, 1/200, 1/300, 1/600 and 1/700.

    I've done nothing with them, and currently can't remember where I put them!

    I must have a rummage when I get home.

    I have had a response and he has managed to print a Wicker basket to go with the model (see below). I have suggested possibly sandbags and an observer as an improvement and possibly a fixing frame for the ropes, although I am going to try small drill holes under the rim at the corners.

    I suggest if you make an order and want the baskets as is, just ask him to include them.

    I personally prefer the empty basket, without the sandbags.

    Why would you need sandbags, anyway?

    You might be in a hurry to bring the balloon down, but not have a need to hurry to take it up.
    It'll rise just by playing out the cable with the winch.

    An empty basket will allow the insertion of any number of different figure types, Shapeways and such.
    And will need less clean-up.

    Maybe the sandbags are to protect from incoming rounds Tim?

    Not sure but a couple of photos attached showing them or other hold-all bags.

    Would the mass of the sandbags provide extra stability in the wind?

    In the first shot & the model the big pack looks like a parachute bag, the pic with the parachute being used looks like a training balloon, the set up may be different but they look like sandbags.

    Possibly, especially after the crew had jumped when under attack - the extra weight might stop the swinging basket getting blown around the winch cable or ground lines.
