China Air Task Force, 1943

Here's an online adaptation of a 1943 Time-Life article (12 April) written about the China Air Task Force, the USAAF unit that replaced the American Volunteer Group ("Flying Tigers") after they disbanded in July 1942. It's an interesting bit of writing (very 1943), accompanied by some of the fantastic photos Time-Life is known for.

A very informative article Chris.
I knew of the Flying Tigers, but nothing about the conditions and obsolete aircraft they were forced to endure. All the more Kudos to them for what they achieved.
