Ok, on the right side of the photo is model number two . . . it is recognizable a mile away!

The Sterling is a bit bigger than the Wellington, but with a few more bits . . .

Even a few more cast in place details like the turret

Again the mold will be a 3 piece design-especially since the wing is used on another Shorts project . . .

    Very nice Dave.
We should all be fielding one or two of those beauties at least.

So did the Luftwaffe NachtJaegers and FLAK crews
Maybe a brace to use as glider tugs or supply drops over Arnhem?

Apparently the Sterling could out turn a Ju88 Tame Boar. The problem with the Sterling was more its divided bomb bay which meant they could only carry bombs of 2000lb or less and their low service ceiling. Yes, losses were heavy, even when compared to the other main force bombers of the RAF but this was a type two years older than the Lanc. That's the difference between a B17f and a B29.

I've always loved the Short Sterling, David - but it's a good thing Ares doesn't make one yet - it's another reason to hold off getting into WW2...

I look forward to seeing yours finished!
    All the best,
    Matt

So a little time after work today to add a few more bits . . .

Air scoops, exhausts, oil coolers oh my!

Almost forgot the mostly retracted wheels!

Tomorrow we make the mold part one . . .

    Impressive once again Clipper.
If you ever get around to doing any more Mosquitoes bear me in mind.

Wow - that's one big plane! Well, four big planes...and flying with the four Wellingtons makes for an even more impressive display.

Somebody somewhere is gonna take some damage!
    All the best,
    Matt
