great to bring back another old classic aircraft to the skies
The Kiwi's have more WW1 & WW2 Warbirds per head than any other country in the World.
Big thank you to Sir Peter Jackson & his band of builders & restorers.
Some great pics - and yet another "must see" for when SWMBO and I finally make it to New Zealand in 2015
Superb find Bob.
it is always great to be able to see the bones of an aircraft, and these particular photographs are so crisp and clear in every detail.
Thanks for sharing this find.
Rob.

Make sure you include the Omaka museum in your itinerary: http://www.omaka.org.nz/
Have look in my albums to see some more photos of the exhibits that I shot when my wife and I visited last year: http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/album.php?albumid=2180
And my wife confessed that even she enjoyed the exhibits, though she did spend time in the cafe while I continued to 'ooh' and 'aah' and generally drool and wonder at each exhibit and diaorama.
Those are great photographs of the Spitfire being restored!
Didn't know there were 52 still flying. I think that might make the most type flying from WWII.
Great link Bob. Awesome to see a Spitfire coming together and, of course, flying.
They could have made a RAAF Spit although.
Thanks
Nick
