Hi Jan. I hope you will put 'syndromes' aside, as we all do. I'd personaly have a lot of reasons not to fly German or Russian planes. But also British and American could be questioned, as they traded CE countries to Evil Empire after WW2. Going that way, hmm, I would hardly have any plane to fly in

I can understand that, Honzo. But I fully support what Rafał wrote. This is just a game of planes and this way I do not want to support ANY political issues concerning the Evil Empire politics now and in the past and I am sure we here have even more reasons to say that.
I do hope we could overcome that syndrom as far as Soviet satellite-Polish troops were involved in 68, of which historical fact I am fully aware as well.
Hope this slightly political post will not be banned, but if it is I will have no objection of course.

    Regards,
    Andy.

Hey fellas, if the rest of our respective countrymen got along together as this group does....the world would be a more peaceful place.

Well, a game is a game, it has to bring people together and give fun. Once we mix it with 'other topics' it starts to separate people.

Just as my parents listened with theirs to Radio Warsaw in 1939, I listened with my parents to Radio Prague in 1968.
So I can understand that it can be difficult.

For what it's worth... I am, or was, a Cold Warrior. Our opponents wore red stars on their uniforms. Things happened sometimes that are unlikely to ever be made public. Our subs -and theirs - often went in places no sub should go in peacetime.

I'm also an honourary member of the Sankt Petersburg Submariners Club, for work I did fund-raising for the families of the victims of the Kursk disaster. The civilian technical specialists aboard who were the first to die were my opposite numbers. Had I been born in Rostov, rather than Reading...

I am strongly supporting Honza. Russians did not change at all. Back in 68 they invaded us and now they they have done the same to Krym. The harder we boycott Russia, the better. If I were in charge, I'd say googbye to rusian embassy for starters.

Sorry Alexandr, but this is not really the place for this discussion.
I would like to draw a line under it here and get back to the original intention of this thread.

Hallo Kite, either move this topic to officers club or let us react to the posts above. This is a Czech wing forum after all and no restrictions apply for it. You let all those people who don't come from countries abused by Russians jerk off all over here and when you see the second message you don't like you start threatening. We have certain political experience you don't have. You do not know what are you talking about and you literally are teasing a snake with your bare foot.

Let us take this more calmly please Alexandr.
We are not a political club in any way.
My opinion does not matter in the least.
The good of the forum is my remit in general.
I believe that this discussion is not in the best interest of the forum as a whole.
I have therefore passed the matter on to my superior Keith for his consideration.
I'm sorry if this has upset you in any way, but I have to consider everyone.

The site is about Wings of Glory and bringing players together from all across the world. We have managed for many years to have a very friendly site. Part of this is due to us leaving our political views in the real world and not bringing them into this little home away from home we have created.

While I have not written any restrictions on to any of the forums besides the Officer's Club, neither have I state that all the other forums are open to postings that do not relate to the game.

I think we can all agree that it's much better when we stick to the topic of our beloved game

Open a thread about Italian WW II planes in the German subforum and I bet the reaction would be the same.

Napsat přķspěvek po Italové v druhé světové vįlky v německé oddķl a reakce je stejné.

PS: I am going straight to German subforum and i am going to abuse you with my avatar, and if you don't like it i will tell you that i will pass it to powers to be, and those will tell you to shut up. hahahaha. Classic.

Just a question my dear friend:

Is the dark green Reggiane Re.2001 Falco II (Metellini) a night fighter?

Ha, my dark green Falco is a night&day fighter, that's the trick. It shall not be operated in dusty environment, that's the only limit.
