Mike, I didn't have a particular pilot in mind when I painted and marked the mini. I used the decals that were available. Hopefully the guy that makes decals for Armaments in Miniature will be able to re-supply AIM and add more to the inventory.

All, thanks for the very kind remarks. Kevin

    Beautiful work, Kevin.

I have a growing appreciation for AIM planes, seeing what I have seen by members here.

Nice model! Is that a 'special one'? I ask because the wing gun bulges look very pronounced.

David, it's not a special, I think it's just the way the master was sculpted. Thanks for the kind words. Kevin

    Default WGS 1/200 Morane MS.406 Armee del'air (Helmet 200)

Here are three Morane MS.406 miniatures I painted up in 2010 for a planned Battle of France campaign that never happened. The have come close to seeing action since but never quite made it to the table. I am going to run a table of Wings of Glory at a 24 hour gaming event next week - it may just be the right time for these Moranes to have their 'metal' tested!

Quite surprising, there are not many works presented in this thread.
It's not powerful, but pretty nice airplane.
Here is my M-S 406 I prepared for the last Prague Con.

    Hey Kubajs,
    another coincidence (??)
Cats Eyes (Lex) of the Dutch Wing has just started on two of those Shapeways MS-406's ...
Hopefully he'll post some pictures of his planes here soon
    cheers,

Here are mines ( not new ones but I forget to post them)
    Indochina 1941
To fight against royal thaï airforce air force
    1/144 resin Kami koro
They didn't wear vichy stripes at that date but I want to use them in north africa as well.

In September 1940 broke out the Franco-Thai War. On October 10, 7 MS 406s were sent to Tourane to form a new fighter squadron, EC 2/596. The first war mission takes place on November 23. On January 18, 1941, the Air Force in Indochina had no more than 14 Moranes. The fighting ceased on January 28, 1941, with 4 French victories for 2 MS 406 destroyed on the ground by a bombardment. The Morane Saulniers were reformed in 1942 for lack of spare parts.

Very nice Fox. Way down on my list are some Vichy planes. The red and yellow stripes are brilliant.
