Nice one
Great work - such detail !
Very nice French birdie! I like it
I love this one!
Mike, I didn't have a particular pilot in mind when I painted and marked the mini. I used the decals that were available. Hopefully the guy that makes decals for Armaments in Miniature will be able to re-supply AIM and add more to the inventory.
All, thanks for the very kind remarks. Kevin
Beautiful work, Kevin.
I have a growing appreciation for AIM planes, seeing what I have seen by members here.

Nice model! Is that a 'special one'? I ask because the wing gun bulges look very pronounced.
A very nice change from the usual Kevin.

David, it's not a special, I think it's just the way the master was sculpted. Thanks for the kind words. Kevin
Here are three Morane MS.406 miniatures I painted up in 2010 for a planned Battle of France campaign that never happened. The have come close to seeing action since but never quite made it to the table. I am going to run a table of Wings of Glory at a 24 hour gaming event next week - it may just be the right time for these Moranes to have their 'metal' tested!
Quite surprising, there are not many works presented in this thread.
It's not powerful, but pretty nice airplane.
Here is my M-S 406 I prepared for the last Prague Con.
Shapeways mini, Homemade decals.
Hey Kubajs,
another coincidence (??)
Cats Eyes (Lex) of the Dutch Wing has just started on two of those Shapeways MS-406's ...
Hopefully he'll post some pictures of his planes here soon
cheers,

Thanks Gents. Glad you like it. Aren't you aware of any airplane card for M.S. 406?
Lovely 406!

Here is a flight of AIM MS 406s. Propellers by Keith, paints, Vallejo model air light blue RLM76 for underside, uppers Model Color green brown, dark sea grey, brown violet. The dark brown was a craft paint, Ben Franklin burnt umber. Decals by Kevin at Miscmini 6 Escadrille.

Wish I'd bought more than one now.

Beautiful squadron, well painted.
Nice flight Marek!
Here are mines ( not new ones but I forget to post them)
Indochina 1941
To fight against royal thaď airforce air force
1/144 resin Kami koro
They didn't wear vichy stripes at that date but I want to use them in north africa as well.
In September 1940 broke out the Franco-Thai War. On October 10, 7 MS 406s were sent to Tourane to form a new fighter squadron, EC 2/596. The first war mission takes place on November 23. On January 18, 1941, the Air Force in Indochina had no more than 14 Moranes. The fighting ceased on January 28, 1941, with 4 French victories for 2 MS 406 destroyed on the ground by a bombardment. The Morane Saulniers were reformed in 1942 for lack of spare parts.
Very nice Fox. Way down on my list are some Vichy planes. The red and yellow stripes are brilliant.
Bravo Fox
because Kami Koro models from Japan are not really easy !

Great MS.406, Fox.
For an unknown Asian front.

How to add propeller blades (DeepL translate)
The propeller blades are made of common transparent plastic packaging that can be found everywhere.
I used thick and rigid plasticard which required a big "patafar" of cyanoacrylate glue to hold the whole thing together.
The problem is that our planes are called to work on the "tappeto di gioco" and the slightest contact can break the fragile propeller.
The packing plastic cut into strips (1 x 7 mm for the Curtiss H-75; 1 x 6mm for the MS-406 & D520) is much more interesting because it is flexible and thin. A little bit of cyano on the parts to be glued is enough; wait 30 seconds (too liquid the glue does not "weld" the parts) before putting in place with tweezers (at 1/200th it is mandatory) respecting of course the 120° gap for a three-blade propeller.
BE CAREFUL with the cyano glue, we (I) always put some on my fingers.
For planes with propeller spinner it is "chôôô" to find the right position:
1- after gluing position the foot of the 1st blade on the pan; I start with the vertical blade.
2- as soon as the glueing starts, tilt 180° to let the blade "hang". Keep the plane on its back and correct any deviation of the blade so that it does not go forward or backward or to one side. Let it dry (now I'm moving on to another plane)
3- proceed = for the 2nd pall by putting the plane so as to stick the pall vertically.
4- as soon as it appears that you want to hold it alone, turn it 180°.
etc 3rd blade. Take care of the 120° between blades otherwise it's not very aesthetic.
5- I forgot: KEEP CALM
Great Miscmini decal sheet as usual
The white underwing codes on blue background can be made with miscmini decal sheet.
With other "Armée de l'Air Française" fighters
Conclusion: the quality of AiM & Miscmini is not to be proven anymore...

C'est formidable, good solution & guide to setting blades on these tiny models.
Again, Great! And useful work description.
