    Default Doncaster Meet - Sept 20 & 21 2014 - new beginnings

Hi to you all. I went to the above meet as wife of one of the participants - got involved in the games and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with all the airmen (and women) there. I was made so welcome by all and had lots of laughs. Luck was really on my side Saturday and though Sunday was harder it's made me determined to get to know more about the aircraft and game itself, so THANK YOU - one and all, for a great weekend. Hope to see you all again soon x

    Welcome to the Drome Marian!
    The enemy are over there.
    Seriously.
I'm over here, so please point your guns over there!

Sounds like you got a rousing intro to our little group (or at least a sizable portion of the UK wing ).
A welcome from Akron, Ohio USA.

Apologies 'for some' was missed off that when I typed. I do apologise no insult intended.

Well Marion I can now formally welcome you as a pilot to the U.K. Squadrons. You certainly made quite a stir amongst the rest of the pilots at the weekend.
I enjoyed meeting you and having you as a Wingman in our little jaunt over Taranto.
    Fly safe.

Great shooting, and obviously you have no problem focusing on the objectives of the mission, despite a lot of distractions and malicious intent, Marion.

I wish my intro to convention gaming was as successful as yours, even though I did have a blast. A few explosion cards made that more literal than I'd have liked.

    Welcome to the 'drome!

Lovely to meet you at our little Doncaster shindig. Unfortunately (or maybe I was the lucky one judging from the terror in everyone else's posts) I was not able to fly with you, what with me being barred from flying anything built after 1920 ....

I don't think I got to chat with you over the weekend but welcome, from one newbie to another (although admittedly, you seem to be a much more succesful newbie that me!).

Greetings from Cape Cod. Sorry to say I don't think I got to speak to you. I was the 'Yank' flying WWI kites all weekend.

Welcome Marion, it was a pleasure to see you gun down all those enemies with such grace and not to mention the odd phrase "I'm not really sure what I'm doing!!!!" It was an honour to meet you and fly with you.

    Hi Marian.
Congratulations on your play - quite devastating.
I hope some of your luck will brush off on me. Maybe I will play next time we meet.

It's called "denial", Karl. He's addicted, but attempting to restrain himself. Like me, only he has held out longer.

Addiction is not about willpower, it's about determination. Or something like that. I don't have either.

Its all because I decided that torpedos could miss their intended target... however flying fully loaded torpedo bomber into carrier flight deck ALWAYS hits, ships go bomb, Neil sobs.... (especially after the third plane hits)

You can always be re-barred and de-moted, flight leader!
