I think Sven, Thomas and me will be stationed at Botel Racek which provides a qood quality/service/price ratio with a free parking lot (for me and access to public transportation, but it is not a cosy place at all. However the first-timers would be pleased to stay in a convenient hotel in the heart of the town. Bologna Residence at Konviktska street (I stayed there twice with my family) is a very good place if you want to spend some time sightseeing. So if you (UK Wingmen) want to spend some time painting the town red [couh...cough...] , look for a hotel in the centre part of the town, IMHO.

Talked to my comrades and you can enlist Markus (well known from 2013) and Mario.

Both are gaming buddies from my Axis & Allies gamegroup and want to come to Prague in 2015.

For the choosen date, they have to obey the vacancy stop from end of May to mid June, too.

The weekend 15. - 17. May would be best, because the weekend before the circumstances are not that optimal.

In general I would prefer a "warm" May/June/July Summer Con not a "cold" April or March Con.

    Anybody heared something from Watchdog?

I'm trying to recruit more pilots from Serbia for 2015 Con. We shall see...

For now, any February and April seems fine. First May weekend disqualifies Jelena, second May weekend disqualifies both Jelena and me. And we are also more prone to June or July, if possible.

Let me point some notes about accomodation:

    1. LGS, where Con will be, is not in the city centre nor near river.
    2. Botels are very romantic, but you must use public transportation to get near LGS (32 CZK per 90 minutes [aprox 1 pound]).
    3. It is possible to find some cheap and clean ho(s)tel in walking distance (<15 minutes of walk). I found it for Nemanja and Rafal, they can share their experience.
    4. It is a good time now - almost all ho(s)tel are empty for the date, so we can find the best solution easily.

I every case, I will try to help you

I would go for point 3, Daniel Walking distance is a very good idea for night birds and drunkards

OK, it seems that the 15th-17th May is the best term. I sent and email to Thomas (Thomatchef) if there is really no chance to get here in this weekend. After receiwing his answer, I will confirm the date officially.

I met Watchdog about 9 months ago - he stopped playing WoG and started playing a fieldgame called Ingress. I prepared a nametag for him last time (just in case), but I doubt he will join us next year. But the hope dies as the last.

Definitely 15-17th May is a very good term, only if Thomas could join us. The Con would not be the same without him and his superb paintjobs.

    Thank you.

The're not enlisted. Markus has a game mat and a WGF duel pack. Mario has no miniatures.

We're taking the bus from Nürnberg and will stay at Botel Racek again.

Didn't see Slavek (Jasuna Kozono) on the list of participants. I hope he joins us again.

    Long time no see.

I have been awfully busy in my job and I had to concentrate on finishing the bachelor course at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is, that I have my university diploma, the bad news is, that the situation in my job has not changed much. Responsibility and hard work come hand-in-hand with promotions and being a Chief Commissioner is not really a walk in the park. At least I can now wear the rank insignia of Captain on my ceremonial police uniform. More bad news is, that I spend much of my free time playing Dystopian Wars and painting the models, since finding one opponent is much easier than a whole group. And I spend some time outside, playing Ingress, too. At least my hobbies are shared with my girlfriend. I think she even paints her models much better than I can ever paint mine.

Frankly, I have not really played WoG since the Prague Summer Con of 2013. I cannot promise anything, since duty comes first, but if possible, I would love to see you all in May.

Long time no see indeed! Nice to have you back here and congratulations both on diploma and promotion!

It would be even nicer to see you in person at Con 2015, so it's perhaps time to stop Dystopian Wars for a while, and fly historics during May

    Well done Jan.
I'm sure we can all at least raise a glass to you in the Mess this evening.
It will be sad if you can't make it to the Con as i was hoping to meet you in person.
As it is I will take this opportunity to wish both you and your girlfriend a Happy 2015.

    Hi guys
For the Con I want to develop one epic game about the evolution of the fighters on the Eastern front. For it I need more planes then I have – approximately 2,5 plane per player. I’m in connection with Andrzej, who has great collection, but few types I’m still missing.
Now I’m looking for Mig-3s and for some Russian fighters (even Lend-Lease planes) from the later stages of the war (La-5/7, Yak-9 etc.). Do you have some models ready to play? And if yes, could you, please, bring them with you, and borrow them for my scenario? Eventually, send me the statistics you use for the relevant planes.
    Thanks

Yes, those late war fighters are missing.
I have expanded my EF collection of Soviet planes recently to I-16s and LL Airacobras (plus official Yak 1s), but none of those mentioned (La5/7 and Later Yaks).

Frankly, since Yaks version 1b were in use in many units (1 Polish Fighter Regiment included) till the end of the war we may use these models even in the late war scenarios. I have already started to redecaling some of them into PFR chequers...

Great, Nemanja! I like planes in winter camo.
    Any others?
Any repaint of official Yak-1, Bf109E, Fw190-D will be warm welcome. Because it's eye candy

Today I place the order at magister militium for Mig-3 and Lavochkin and some others.
Yesterday Jan brought me Yak-9, Airacobra, I-16 and some others.
So I have potentially a lot of planes.
    But...
Because of three children at home, I'm lack of time for painting, So I count with your planes and I will concentrate on Mig, Yak and Lavochkin to widen the spectrum of russian planes.

I have just placed a "Shap...s" order for red 4 La-7 late war fighters plus 2 Pe-2 dive bombers. They shall be delivered by the end of January, so there will be some time to finish them before May. What we need are the stats and cards for them.

This year there will be only fighters (a huge number, I hope) in my scenario from EF.
The numbers are growing. It seems there will be enough planes for 20 players!
    My dream comes true!

In 2016 I'd like to prepare battle of Kursk scenario with many ground attacks.

Sorry to hear that, but that's why I cancelled my plans for Doncaster last year.

This year I have Prague, a weekend to Poland and maybe a visit to the "Spiel" in Essen.

In general I have to save a little bit money for my future trip to Japan in 2016.

I am afraid that circumstances beyond my control have now precluded myself and Eileen from attending the Con this year. A combination of changed events dates in our other interests, and some unexpected financial commitments are to blame. the knock on effect means that we will only be able to do some of the things we had organized for this year.
Hope to be able to rectify this in the future.
